Margaret Sutton

Margaret is an environmental and cultural historian with an interest in the ways mountains have featured in nation-building projects and as emblems for individual and collective memory.  Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, she received her BA from Williams College and her MAT from Montana State University.  Prior to Notre Dame, she worked as a high school teacher and field instructor in Montana, Massachusetts, and Wyoming.
