Ian Storey

Ian Storey is a PhD student in History at the University of Notre Dame.  He holds a BA in History and Classical Languages from Sewanee: The University of the South and an MSt in Late Antique and Byzantine Studies from the University of Oxford.  His Master's research primarily concentrated on interactions between Byzantium and nomadic tribes along the eleventh-century Danube River frontier.  Now at Notre Dame, Ian is shifting his focus to the Late Byzantine Balkans, with interests in the environment, borderlands, and social history.
