The Department of History is proud to host Claudia Brosseder, associate professor of history at the University of Illinois, for the 2019 DeSantis Lecture. This lecture series, organized by the Union of Graduate Historians, brings prominent historians to campus to work with History graduate students and present their scholarship to students and faculty from across the University. Prof. Brosseder's lecture is entitled, "Colorful Tropical Feathers and Andean Meaning Making," and will highlight her expertise in the history of the colonial Andes, especially the indigenous world and intellectual history of colonial Peru. A reception will follow the lecture.
