The Department of History is proud to welcome Professor Jeanne Theoharis (Brooklyn College, SUNY) this Tuesday, March 24, to discuss her new book on the life of Rosa Parks. Contrary to the popular narrative that Rosa Parks was a mild-mannered seamstress, Professor Theoharis hopes to share with the audience how the Civil Rights icon was more than just a woman on a bus.

The lecture will be held in O'Shaughnessy 131 on March 24th, 2015 at 5pm, with a reception to follow.
