Latin American History
My area of interest is Latin American History. Particularly, I am interested in entrepreneurs from a historical perspective. For my dissertation, I will study how entrepreneurs in Colombia built a self-image of upper class identity and then, compare it to other cases in the region. In other words, I am interested in understanding how entrepreneurs created a social identity through specific social practices that contributed to the consolidation of differences between their social group and the middle and lower classes.
