Badin Bible Symposium

Come see and hear about the Badin Bible, a new, landmark addition to the collection of Catholic Americana in the Hesburgh Libraries' Department of Rare Books and Special Collections. This three-volume edition from 1790 contains an inscription from John Carroll, the first bishop in the United States, to Stephen Badin, the first priest ordained in the United States. A panel of experts will talk about the significance of this Bible, which is one of the first to be published in the United States.
