Please join us as we celebrate the launch of Semion Lyandres's new book with a reception that brings together the extended history community and invites an eminent outside scholar to comment on the author’s scholarly contribution.

The Fall Of Tsarism: Untold Stories of the February 1917 Revolution (Oxford University Press, 2013) will be introduced by Rex A. Wade, University Professor, George Mason University. He is the author of The Bolshevik Revolution and Russian Civil War (2001), The Russian Revolution, 1917 (2000), Red Guards and Workers' Militias in the Russian Revolution (1984), and The Russian Search for Peace, 1917 (1969). He is co-editor of Politics and Society in Provincial Russia: Saratov, 1590-1917 (1989), editor of Documents of Soviet History (Vol. I, 1991; Vol. II, 1992, Vol. III, 1994), and numerous articles dealing with the Russian revolution and revolutionary movement. He currently is writing "The Long Revolution: Russia 1880-1930."
